About Moderate

Moderate is developed by Aleksandra Komagorkina ("Developer"). By using the app, you agree to these terms.

What the App Does

Moderate is an alcohol-tracking app that runs entirely on your device. It logs your drinks, estimates blood alcohol content (BAC), and shows analytics of your drinking habits alongside related health signals.

Data Collection

We do not collect personal data. Your drink logs, BAC estimates, settings, and analytics are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.

• Drink logs and intake history are stored locally on your device
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking is used
• No account creation is required

Health Data

Moderate can read health metrics – such as sleep, heart rate, heart rate variability, mood, and symptoms – from Apple Health to help you see how alcohol relates to these signals.

• Health data is read only with your explicit permission and is processed on your device.
• Health data is never transmitted, sold, or used for advertising, consistent with Apple's HealthKit requirements.
• You can grant or revoke Health access at any time in the Health app or your device Settings.

Third-Party Services

• Apple handles app distribution and payments, and provides HealthKit. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat manages in-app purchases. They receive anonymous transaction data from Apple. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

In-App Purchases

Premium features are available as a purchase through the App Store. Payments are processed by Apple. The Developer does not receive your payment details. Manage purchases and subscriptions in your device Settings.

Health & Safety Disclaimer

Moderate is for informational and self-tracking purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. BAC figures are estimates based on the information you enter and standard formulas; they are affected by many individual factors and must never be used to decide whether it is safe or legal to drive or operate machinery. When in doubt, do not drive.

Moderate is not designed to diagnose or treat alcohol use disorder (AUD). If you are concerned about your drinking, please consult a healthcare professional. For AUD information and resources, see Understanding Alcohol Use Disorder (NIAAA).

Contact hi@aleksandra.tech for support. If you email us, we'll see your email address and message to respond. Support correspondence is deleted upon request.

Children

Moderate is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not intended for children.

Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranty. The Developer is not liable for any damages arising from use of the app.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
